Investment activities - week ending 3 Feb

Investment activities this week under Cash portfolio as below :-

K-Reit Asia
Bought stock (5 lots) four weeks ago and did not manage to sell at target exit price (which was based on actual dividend rate announced) before it went ex-dividend.  It went ex-dividend on 25 Jan so the cheque for dividend of $123 will be in the mail to me on 24 Feb.  Finally managed to sell the entire 5 lots this week so l ended up with nett gain at breakeven of  $17.  So, total realised returns is $140 in all ($123 + $17) or annualised rate of 3.2% (beat FD rates, with low invested funds and extremely short time frame) and l get to reinvest using the proceeds.

BH Global Marine
Its financial results will be known on 8 Feb and from past record, its ex-dividend date should be in early April month.  I have intended to invest a small amount in the range of $2k in it.  It has a healthy balance sheet. But for the nine months on cash flow, it is already in net cash used status.  Bought 10 lots (investment amount $1978) and assuming that dividend rate ($0.007) is kept same as last year so, l am expecting amount dividend payment of $70.  But the stock price hit past my exit price target within the same week of purchase so l sold it all off at nett gain of $94 or annualised rate of 4.8% (beat FD and CPF rates, with low invested funds and extremely short time frame under one week).  So, l do not really need to wait for its dividend details this coming 8 Feb and have already pocketed the dividend amount in advance.

Best World
Bought 5 lots in Dec month last year using less that $1k invested funds and with intention of going long term with it.  It has a healthy balance sheet. But for the nine months on cash flow, it is already in net cash used status.  Thailand flood situation and starting the learning curve over its Korea operations could further lower its full year revenue and bottom line.  In line with investment strategy change in 2012, l have been wanting to sell this stock with its anticipated dividend amount ($50) as basis for the exit price.  Managed to sell it all away this week at nett gain of $56 or annualised rate of 7.0% (beat FD and CPF rates, equal GST 7% rate, with low invested funds and only two months time frame).

The above are stocks sold this week.  Also this week, l have invested into SG Medical 16 lots, Nam Lee Pressed Metal 11 lots and Casa Holdings 16 lots.
